Tissue culture, innovative pruning technique and bio-controlled agents will also be widely employed with emphasis placed on the soil condition, plant germination process and green house environment control, to minimize the risk of contamination as well as pest and disease attack.
Bio Desaru intends to establish its own brand name and a strong position in both local and overseas organic food markets. It will adopt a centralized concept and set up a one-stop branding, processing and packaging centre for its organic farm produce.
In its effort to build and establish the "Bio Desaru" brand as the preferred choice of consumers, trading houses will be set up to provide for a strong marketing and distribution network.
A Comprehensive Development Programme has been formulated, after taking into consideration all the favorable physical elements and commercial viability of the planned activities, with an aim to realize the full potential of this green valley.
The programme covers a wide range of agro-eco-based activities and facilities which complement each other, forming an integrated self-sufficient and sustainable association.
Organic Vegetables Farm
As part of the organic vegetable farm development programme, a reputable local listed company has undertaken to transform 1,000 acre land into one of the biggest Organic Vegetable Farm in the region.
Greenhouse and netting farming methodology will be applied in this project complemented by the latest EM pest- control solution to ensure the best yields and value possible.
The entire development project will be self-sustainable with the greenhouses being powered by recycled organic waste bio gasifiers.
To meet the ever increasing demand and expectation of local and international consumers in organic vegetable produce, the management will strive to ensure that high value organic crops are produced and international standards maintained at all time.
A total of 400 acres of land will be set aside under this planned development for Bumiputra Entrepreneur Programmes. Guidance and training on biotech-based farming will be provided to participating entrepreneurs to help them attain greater success in this field.
